Hills and Valleys

Something that took some getting adjusted to was the acceptance that just because sales have slowed, does not mean the value of what your building has decreased. It’s easy to get excited, you made a plan for a specific project, things panned out and the sales goal was met. But it’s just as easy to become discouraged when when the inverse happens. You just came off a ball of customer excitement, and now thints have calmed. Having every customer excited about your business every moment of every day is irrational and unsustainable. So plan it out spread the exciting things out. Hit them hard on a regular basis, so it can be expected but a surprise. I think the reason I want to get into the habit of this daily blog is being able to produce time-place material without the scoreboard. There’s no figures to measure the success of a blog other than I felt good doing it. Ignorance is bliss and not feeling the pressure of likes, comments, shares, sales sets me free to have my outlet of self expression, while improving my writing and giving the brand a other realm to have a voice. I’m not sure what this blog will consist of. Most likely commentary on things I find interesting, advice I wish I knew sooner, or behind the scenes thoughts and plans for what it’s like building a local luxury eyewear brand from nothing. I’d hope just like my products, marketing and advertising skills improved over time so will this because it was a reality check trying to sit and write something using correct grammar, spelling and was somewhat worthwhile.
